So, word is out officially that the most anticipated flagship-killer OnePlus6T mobile phone launch has been scheduled on Oct. 30, 2018 at 8.30 P.M. IST (KDJW Stadium, New Delhi) and 11 A.M. EDT (Pier 36, New York).
The attendees, the OnePlus team says, will receive exclusive gifts that justifies the cost of admission (yes, you need to pay for the entrance ticket to the event), go hands-on with the new device, check out the interactive displays and exhibits at the OnePlus Experience zone. And yes, you can shoot photos and videos and post social media updates during the launch event.
I wish they had organised this launch event simultaneously at all the major cities of India. Hmm… You can find more information about the launch event from this discussion thread.
Although I have not owned OnePlus mobile phones personally, I should mention that I would love to get my hands on one – hopefully in the near future. I should admit that I was tempted to buy the Xiaomi Poco F1 but decided to wait for the OnePlus 6T launch anyway – especially to see if they are bringing any improvements on the camera front. I am expecting better optics, built-in video editing features, and a higher slow motion capability.
Of course, OnePlus has become a brand in itself, and people know it’s a mid-priced premium mobile. That will add to the pride factor (of owning one). I just hope they’ll bring the price of the new device to around 30K INR to make the decision easier. Otherwise, there are at least two more options – The Poco F1 (obviously) and the Asus Zenfone 5Z.
Let’s hope for the best 🙂
