Black Friday 2019: Best Deals on Computers & PC Components at Newegg
Black Friday Deals and Cyber Monday Deals generally offer the lowest prices on most tech devices including Computers & PC Components. So if you’ve been waiting to buy that Shiny Apple Laptop or build a Gaming PC from scratch, you’ll find the best deals and coupons on online tech retailers like Newegg during the second half of Nov. and the first half of Dec. 2019.
The challenge during Black Friday sale month is not only to get the lowest possible prices but also to find the best quality products that are most suitable for your requirements. Don’t make the mistake of buying a sub-par product because of a huge price reduction. You won’t use it!
In this article, we’ll cover Factors to Consider before Buying a Gaming Laptop. We’ve also included information on how to track the pricing of your favorite tech product/accessory on Newegg or elsewhere, and get intimated the moment it goes on a deal. This is important, so read till the end.

Here are my Minimum Specs & Tips to buy a Gaming Laptop:
- Graphics Card – There are two options – Nvidia & AMD. For a laptop, my choice would be Nvidia – RTX or GTX series.
- RAM – Min 16 GB, 32 GB (if budget permits). Whatever I buy, I make sure the RAM is expandable at a future date.
- Storage – SSD. Or I can buy a hybrid system and load my games from the SSD. Hard-drives are slow.
- CPU – Intel Core i5 or i7. I can save a bit here as the gaming process is handled by the GPU, and the CPU comes into the picture only for other routine (simpler) tasks.
- Display – I would avoid touchscreens and 4K resolutions.
- Keyboard – Mechanical keyboard & backlighting is what I prefer.

As you can see from my above selection, I am a huge fan of MSI laptops because they focus on making laptops optimized for only one thing – gaming 🙂
If there is a huge price drop this Black Friday, I will buy the first option. Otherwise, I might go with the second. Let’s hope for the best!
My Two Important Learnings from Previous Black Friday Experiences:
- Always select products beforehand and track their pricing from at least one week before Black Friday. (More on how to track pricing in the below section.)
- Once the product you have selected goes on black Friday sale and there is a price drop, buy it right away. Don’t wait for a further price reduction. Although that might happen in a few cases, in most cases the stocks would get exhausted.
How to Setup a Custom Deal Alert?
Visit this link and enter the main keyword (MSI laptop in my case) and then enter the full name of the product in the title/short name column. Select other options as applicable and Add Alert.
When the product goes on a deal or when there is a drastic reduction in its pricing on an online retailer’s website you’ll be instantly notified by email, mobile push notification, sms, etc.
Remember: You can save big with almost everything offered at popular online tech retailers like Newegg during Black Friday.
