New Features in LibreOffice 7.3 Community Edition [Video]

LibreOffice 7.3 is the new major release for the free & open-source Office Productivity suite. With this upgrade, the creators say that the interoperability with MS Office suite is better than ever.

If you didn’t know, the LibreOffice suite comprises mainly of Writer (Alternative to MS Word), Calc (Alternative to MS Excel), Impress (Alternative to MS Powerpoint). You can download the latest edition of LibreOffice suites from here (click). LibreOffice is available for the desktop (Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Chrome OS), mobile (Android, iOS), and cloud.

Here are a few improvements to the new LibreOffice 7.3 Suite focused on MS Office Interoperability,

Improvements to import/export filters: DOC (greatly improved list/numbering import); DOCX (greatly improved list/numbering import; hyperlinks attached to shapes are now imported/exported; fix permission for editing; track change of paragraph style); XLSX (decreased row height for Office XLSX files; cell indent doesn’t increase on each save; fix permission for editing; better support of XLSX charts); and PPTX (fixed interactions and hyperlinks on images; fix the incorrect import/export of PPTX slide footers; fix hyperlinks on images and shapes; transparent shadow for tables).

These are in addition to the strong support for native Open Document Formats in the LibreOffice suite.

LibreOffice for Enterprises/Businesses
