Game Trail Surveillance Camera: Watch & Record Remotely over 4G

The Reolink KEEN Cellular day & night Trail Surveillance Camera is best used in places you can’t extend your WiFi network but have 3G/4G mobile data coverage. You can directly plug a cellular nano SIM card into it, and a 32 GB memory card for storing motion-activated videos/photos is already in it.

Once you install this discreetly tree-like camera along with the solar panel that comes with it, you can watch (and be notified of) any animal or human being coming into its view. You can also rotate and control the camera remotely, through the app, over the cellular network.

This camera has been designed to monitor and notify human and animal activity in remote outdoor locations. But it can also monitor your remote property across the country over the Internet. If you just want to see (not record) remote activity, you can do that 24×7.

This camera works only in North America with T-Mobile (Prepaid), FreedomPop, and Mint mobile network SIM cards.

Advantages

  1. Waterproof and Tough body can withstand higher heat, cold, and rain outdoors.
  2. It is designed to camouflage perfectly when attached to a tree.
  3. It is intended to work fully using solar power (through an attached solar panel) or a DC charger connection.
  4. This camera can work in complete darkness (in night) as it supports night vision. Further, no LEDs in the camera that blink or create any kind of illumination.
  5. You can set up the Email alarm system to send you only photos and the camera itself to record only timelapse if you don’t want to deal with bulky video files.
  6. Two-year Warranty
  7. Even if there is no sunlight to power the solar panel, a fully-charged device can work for 3-4 weeks.
  8. This camera can detect people and animals and can send a mobile notification if anyone comes within its range.
  9. This security trail audio supports 2-way audio. You can listen to the sounds and can speak to someone in front of the camera.
  10. The length of the cable that connects the camera and solar panel is 4m. That should be sufficient to mount it in a place with good sunlight.
  11. You can pan and tilt (rotate) and zoom the remote camera via the app.
  12. You can set how long the camera records video once it detects motion. 15 seconds is a good starting point.
  13. The removable 32 GB storage card will be automatically overwritten once the camera is out of memory. The oldest files will be deleted, and new files will be recorded in their place.
  14. The rolling basic cloud storage service is free of cost for storing the last seven days of media on cloud servers provided by Reolink – over the Internet.

Limitations

  1. This camera works only with a 4G Network Connection. There is no support for 5G or WiFi. If you want an outdoor camera connecting to a WiFi network, look at the Reolink 2K Outdoor Solar-powered Security Camera System.
  2. The camera can only be placed where it can access a 4G network.
  3. It doesn’t connect to the power line via an AC port.
  4. If you are going to set it up in an open remote location, it can be stolen.
  5. The solar panel needs direct sunlight exposure to charge the camera battery.
  6. It cannot detect/notify vehicles or other moving objects.
  7. The night vision distance is limited to 10m. And the detection range of the Motion Sensors is also 10m.
  8. This camera system does not support 24×7 recording.
